How to help Kitties?
There are lots of ways to help out the cats in your home, your neighborhood, and the world.
In your home:
As much as I love kitties and would like to save them all, there are far too many kitties in this world than there are loving accepting homes for. Something you can do in your home to prevent this problem worldwide is to spade and neuter your own cats. Everything else you can do in your home is simple. You should give your cats plenty of food, water, and love. When you have the time play with your cats and pet them often. Never ever hit a cat, if they need some form of discipline you can try a spray bottle.
In your neighborhood:
Your neighborhood is a place in which you can make the most profound impact and you don't even have to own a cat (though who wouldn't want to?). This is a list of actions you can take to help the local population of kitties in your area.
Keep an eye out for cats while driving and brake for them
Place food outside for the cats in your neighborhood (Best done during daylight hours to prevent other nocturnal animals from coming near your house)
Be nice to and pet the cats in your neighborhood (as long as they don't look dangerous of course)
Adopt a cat in your neighborhood who you know is a stray (The majority of my cats have been strays or descendants of strays I've rescued, The Babe's Pep-Pep and Mother were both strays)
The world:
There are many things you can do to help the cats of this world, these are just a few suggestions.
Donate to animal shelters which have no-kill policies
Rescue cats from animal shelters which do kill the animals (The shelter in my town kills the cats after only 5 days, which is fucked up)
Be informed and vote for legislature which helps animals
volunteer time at a shelter somewhere
