Friday Update!

First off, sorry for the lack of updates this week.  Between work and school I havn't had much free time.  This past week and this upcoming week are midterms.  However, I  am here with a new update!

Last night I took The Babe over to meet his adopted son Autolycus.  Unfortunately things did not go as planned :(.

This is what we expected to happen

this is what actually happened
Baby was very uncomfortable because he went for a car ride (now associated with going to the vet :( after his surgery earlier this year).  He was also in a place he'd never been before and Autolycus is kind of like that homeschooled kid who doesn't really know how to make a good first impression/interact with other kids.  Pepe was being really nice, but curious and space invading.  They did not end up getting along, however I do have some photos of them interacting.

  1. Awww, sorry they didn't get along. We had really good luck with using a Feliway diffuser in our house. I plugged it in the day before Cornelius Chin (Justin's cat) came to stay with us for a while. Even before Cornelius arrived, I noticed that Seymour was calmer and less apt to follow people around and nip them in the hamstring. It's kind of steep on Amazon, might get a better deal at a pet store. Worth every penny, in our case. The cats now both sleep in my bed without killing each other. Two adult males, even neutered ones, can be hard to introduce without Feliway, or a very slow introduction.:)

  2. Thanks for the heads up! I can't decide if I'm going to start taking him over there once in awhile or just leave it be until someday when I can leave him over for a long time. I don't want to traumatize him over and over but i'd also like for them to be pals lol.
